What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are sent to the browser and stored on the user’s device when they visit a website, and are then retransmitted to the same site on the next visit.

  3. functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

B. Profiling cookies, are aimed at creating user profiles and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the net; this type of cookie, in order to be installed on the user’s device, requires the user’s consent.

Further distinctions of cookies:
1. First-party cookies, are installed directly by the site manager (publisher or publisher);
2. Third-party cookies, on the other hand, are those installed on the terminal by a person other than the site manager.
3. Session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed;
4. Persistent cookies, which remain on the user’s equipment up to a predetermined term;
